Chess-Stone

Privacy Policy

How Chess-Stone handles your data

Effective date: August 10, 2026. This policy explains what the Chess-Stone app collects, why, and the choices you have about it — in plain language, matched exactly to what the app actually does.

1 What we collect

Chess-Stone collects only what's needed to run your account, your matches, and your rankings. There's no advertising SDK, no analytics tracker, and no data broker involved anywhere in the app.

We don't collect your location, contacts, payment details, or any data unrelated to playing the game.

2 How we use it

3 Who we share it with

We don't sell your data, and we don't share it with advertisers. Your data passes through a small number of infrastructure providers that make the app work:

Other players can see your display name, profile photo, Elo rating, and win/loss/draw record — that's the nature of a ranked multiplayer game. Your email address is never shown to other players.

4 How long we keep it

We keep your account and gameplay data for as long as your account exists, so your ratings and history stay intact between sessions. If you delete your account from the app, your profile, match history, friend connections, and push token are permanently removed.

Locally saved, in-progress pass-and-play games (Classic and RPS Chess against another person on the same device, or against the bot) live only in on-device storage — deleting the app removes them immediately, since they were never uploaded.

5 Your choices

6 Children

Chess-Stone is a general-audience app and isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us using the details below and we'll remove it.

7 Security

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS/HTTPS) between the app and our backend. Passwords are never stored in plain text. Access to the database is restricted by row-level security policies, so your data is only ever readable by you and the specific game context it belongs to.

8 Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a way that materially affects how your data is handled, we'll update the effective date above and, for significant changes, notify you in the app.
